- View a competency network.
- Select Items.
- Select Create New Item from the Add Items drop-down list.
- Enter the Item Text.
- Toggle on Screen-out Question, if applicable.
- Choose the Link to Competency from the drop-down list.
- Choose the Item Source from the drop-down list.
- Choose the Response Type from the drop-down list.
- Choose a Scale from the drop-down list. If Item-Specific Response Options is selected, see Building custom response options for items created in a competency network for more information.
- Select Save & Close.
