The Recusal page is where you monitor the Subject Matter Experts' recusals of applicants on the Subject Matter Expert review. This page does not become active until a Subject Matter Expert accesses their review.
To access this page, Viewing a vacancy, select the + tab, select Reviews from the drop-down list, select the Review Name link, and select Recusals.
The following elements are displayed:
- SME Recusals. The number to the right indicates the total number of recusals submitted for this review. For instructions, see: Viewing recusal information.
- Applicant. This drop-down allows you to filter based on the applicant name.
- Evaluator. This drop-down allows you to filter based on the Subject Matter Expert who completed the applicant review.
- View Applicants where actions are required toggle. This toggles allows you to view only recusals that require action.
- Clear Filters. This button allows you to clear all filters.
- Applicant. This column displays the applicant's name.
- Recusals. This column displays the number of recusals for the applicant.
- Actions Required. This column displays a warning if the recusal caused an insufficient number of evaluators or tiebreakers to complete all required evaluation for that applicant.

+. This allows you to expand the recusal information.
- Evaluator. This column displays the name of the SME Evaluator which recused themselves from this applicant’s evaluation.
- Recusal Date. This column displays the date the recusal was submitted by the SME Evaluator.
- Recusal Reason. This column displays the reason provided by the SME Evaluator for recusing themselves from the evaluation.
Notes:
- To resolve an Insufficient Evaluators warning you can add a new SME Evaluator to the Review. For instructions, see: Adding a reviewer to a review.
- To resolve a Tiebreaker needed warning you can add a reviewer to the SME review and designate the new evaluator a Tiebreaker Only.
