The Settings section of the position description is where you add position settings of the position description.
To access this section, select Classification on the top Navigation Bar OR select Admin on the Dashboard, the Admin Home tab displays, select the Manage Position Descriptions, select the applicable Position Description Number, select Settings.
The following elements are displayed:

Position Description Options. The
icon allows you to generate a printable PDF version of Position Description PDF, Position Description Cover Sheet PDF, Copy Position Description or PD Package PDF.
- Position Status. This drop-down list allows you to choose if the position is Competitive, Excepted, SES (Gen.) or SES (CR).
- Service. This drop-down list allows you to choose if the position is tied to headquarters or the field.
- Fair Labor Standards Act. This drop-down list allows you to choose if the position is exempt or non-exempt. A hyperlink with instructions is available.
- Classification System. This drop-down list allows you to choose the appropriate classification system used to classify this position. The default setting is to Factor Evaluation System.
- Position Sensitivity. This drop-down list allows you choose the position sensitivity. A hyperlink with instructions is available.

Security Clearance. This drop-down list allows you choose the position sensitivity. The options are:
- Not Required
- Confidential
- Secret
- Top Secret
- Sensitive Compartmented Information
- Q Access Authorization
- L Access Authorization
- Other
- Competitive Level Code. This field allows you to enter the competitive level code.
- Bargaining Unit Status. This drop-down list allows you to choose the appropriate bargaining unit status.
- Bargaining Unit Code. This field allows you to enter the bargaining unit code.
- Functional Classification Code. This drop-down list allows you to search and choose the functional classification code, if applicable.
- Cyber Security Code. This drop-down list allows you to choose the cyber security code, if applicable.
- Acquisition Position. A check in this box indicates the position is an acquisition position.
- Acquisition Level. This drop-down list allows you to choose the acquisition level, if applicable.
- Remarks. This field allows you to enter remarks related to this position description. The character limit for this field is 1500.
The Conditions of Employment section is where you assign requirements for this position. The following elements are displayed:
- Test Designated Position. A check in this box indicates the position is designated for drug testing.
- Firearm Required. A check in this box indicates the position requires carrying a firearm.
- Physical Ability/Medical Requirement. A check in this box indicates the position includes a physical requirement.

Financial Statement Required. This drop-down list allows you to choose if the position indicates a financial statement is required for this position. The options include:
- OGE Form 450 - Employment and Financial Interest
- OGE Form 278 - Executive Personnel Financial Disclosure
