- Select Admin or Classification on the Dashboard.
- Select the Manage Position Descriptions link.
- Select Create Position Description.
- The Create Position Description modal displays.

Select Upload or create PD in USA Staffing.
- Place a check in the Interdisciplinary box, if applicable.
- Enter the unique Position Description Number.
- Enter the Position Title.
- Enter the Organizational Title.
- Choose the Pay Plan from the drop-down list.
- Choose the Series from the drop-down list.
- Select the + icon to add the Specialties.
- Choose the Grade from the drop-down list.
- Choose the Full Performance Level from the drop-down list.
- Choose the Supervisory Status from the drop-down list.
- Choose the Classification System from the drop-down list. The default setting is to Factor Evaluation System.
- Choose the Owning Office from the drop-down list.
- Choose the Tags from the drop-down list, as appropriate.
- Choose the Customers from the drop-down list, as appropriate.
- Choose the Date of Position Approval from the drop-down calendar.
- Choose Link Position Description, if applicable.
- Select Save.
- Select Settings. Enter the applicable information.
- Select Save.
- Select Duties. Enter the applicable information.
- Select Save.
- Select Competencies.
- Choose Add from Library from the Add Competencies drop-down.
- Enter the appropriate Competency Filters and make the appropriate selections from the list of competencies.
- Select Add & Close.
- Select Factors.
- Enter the factor narrative and level for each of the factors.
- Select Save.
- Select Evaluation.
- In the Classifier's Determination section, choose the Occupational Series from the drop-down list.
- Choose the Grade from the drop-down list.
- Enter the Classifier's Evaluation Statement.
- Select Save.
- Add the Authorizations.
- Publish the position description.
