Setting up a vacancy to collect conditional documents

1. Open a request.
2. Select the Vacancy Number link in the Vacancy Created section.
3. Select Settings.
4. Place a check in the Require Veterans' Preference supporting documents for application submission and/or Require Eligibility supporting documents for application submission check-box(s). 
    
5. Select Save.

Important Notes:

• Any document marked as Accepted in this way cannot be unchecked on the Supporting Documents page. To remove the document as Accepted, the conditional documents setting would need to be unchecked on the Vacancy Settings page.
  • When an applicant responds affirmatively to one or more eligibilities and then navigates to the Documents page on the online application, the appropriate document(s) will be considered required. The applicant will not be able to submit their application until they associate a document with each required document type or change their eligibility responses.
  • Documents are designated as required during the application process using the business rules shown in the table below for each eligibility type.

Please note: Any document marked as Required (either via Default Settings or within a Vacancy) will override the logic applied with the use of conditional documents; therefore, applicants who answer “No” to all eligibility questions will still be required to submit any document designated as Required. We encourage users only mark a document as Required when it will be required of all applicants regardless of their eligibility responses.
